As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the PM and Tags Management processes for the line, aiming to eliminate maintenance and breakdown losses. Your responsibilities include enhancing technical capability by transferring skills from PM to AM, supporting PM activities through planning interventions, and coaching Shift Technicians and Operators.
In collaboration with the Cell Leader and Process Engineer, you will ensure Corrective Maintenance tasks are effectively planned with available resources and parts, optimizing their impact on the production plan. While reporting to the Cell Leader, your role involves close coordination with the Cell team and Shift Teams, including operators and shift technicians within the cell.
Although this role doesn’t have direct reports, establishing strong relationships with other cell members, the Section Engineering Manager, and Maintenance Planner is crucial. Additionally, you will be an integral part of the PM Pillar team for the site.
P rocess / tool ownership and responsibilities :
Owns the PM standards, incl. technical documentation. Continuously drives improvement of the PM standards. (Planners & Tech)
Owns the Tags Management & planning process for the line. (supported by Planners)
Owns and facilitates the weekly PM and Tags planning meeting.
Liaise with the maintenance planner to procure parts and supports the maintenance planning with updating the spare parts inventory policies.
Owns the Breakdown Elimination process for the line. This includes deployment, execution, reporting the KPI for meetings and continuous improvement of the process.
Leads the Breakdown Elimination Process – BDA’s
Owns the building of technical capability (e.g. PM to AM Skills transfer) in operators.
Shares knowledge with operators and shift technicians on maintenance / technical processes and work alongside Cell Leader to build technical mastery of the operators
Support the development and execution of distinct areas of the 90-day plan and weekly / monthly plans
Supports and leads problem solving sessions
Leads risk assessments for Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP)
Responsiblefor M&R spend for the Cell
Reduce frequency and time of PM schedules through improvements or loss reduction
Skills Required
Computer literacy
Effective communicator & strong team member
Apprentice trained in a relevant Engineering discipline (Desirable).
Ideally HND/ HNC / Foundation degree or equivalent.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Demonstratable experience of building capability in others
Proficient in use of SAP (Desirable)

Self-motivated, positive attitude
Good team worker
Proven record of operational/technical improvement
Demonstrated ability of teaching/coaching basic problem-solving tools at all levels
