Come and join Mondelez International as Accounts Payable Lead, Northern Europe based in Bournville!

In this role you will lead one of the largest Business Units in Europe, acting as the key liaison between Mondelez and the BPO, ensuring compliance with KPIS, SLAs and providing outstanding customer experience. You will drive continuous improvement, leading training and managing projects. As a senior Finance professional with extensive knowledge in Accounts Payable you will act as the subject matter expert in this area for your cluster. gf

In this role you will:

  • Manage approx.1.5 billion worth of payment with 165,000 Invoices in a Year

  • Manage approx. 500 million worth of Exceptions with 5,000 Invoices in a year

  • Lead stakeholder management for finance, procurement, and suppliers

  • Manage the relationships between Accenture and Mondelez and will possess excellent relationship management skills.

What you will bring:

  • Exceptional Accounts Payable Subject Matter Expertise

  • Experience in fast-paced multi-national organisation

  • In-depth transaction level SAP knowledge

  • Continuous improvement mindset and experience in training others and creating process documentation

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of partnering with a BPO would be an advantage

  • European Geography knowledge with local VAT & Tax laws

The role

  • Manage stakeholders for one of the biggest Business Units in Europe

  • Build local proximity with suppliers in given BUs to streamline experience for all strategic suppliers and help procurement to negotiate better.

  • Handling Accounts Payable exceptions & query management

  • Handling day to day fire fighting from internal and external stake holders

  • BPO Operations experience to work with service provider and to improve customer experience.

  • Monitoring Service provider KPI, SLA & manage Accounts Payable processes within Industry / Mondelez compliance frame.

  • Manage Payment Term law across European Countries as the European Union have decided to apply the Payment term law.

  • Drive continuous improvement with Service Provider for your respective cluster and Europe.

  • Stakeholder management with Internal Procurement, Finance, Mdlz plants and Suppliers to build a strong work relationship.

  • Knowledge cascading including training others and creating process documentation.

  • Open to take any additional responsibilities, all types of Project management support for the respective cluster, BU and region.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with judgment and decision-making capability and the ability to articulate ideas, actively listen, and read non-verbal communication.

  • Engaging, inspiring, and influencing people.

  • Analysing and synthesizing ideas to draw objective conclusions and to write concise reports.

This role is based in our Birmingham (Bournville) office. We operate a hybrid model - three days in the office and two from home.
