Job Description:
At Regions, the Treasury Manager is responsible for managing effectiveness in a designated area within Corporate Treasury, including: Strategic Planning, Funding/Liquidity Management, Balance Sheet Strategic Management, Asset/Liability Management, Debt and Capital Management, Profitability Measurement and Analysis, Investment Portfolio Management and Trading, Fixed-Income Derivatives Management, Balance Sheet Valuation/Pricing, Interest Rate Risk Modeling and Hedging, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Capital/Liquidity Stress Testing, Balance Sheet Analytics/Modeling, Economic Analysis/Modeling, Economic/Risk Capital, Financial Risk Management, Capital Planning, Financial Regulation and Accounting. This position contributes to the development of strategy and direction, as well as cross-functional execution.
Primary Responsibilities
Leads a team or function area in the coordination and execution of work product in designated area
Develops ideation for areas of strategic importance to drive continuous improvement and overall effectiveness (e.g. financial performance)
Communicates to all organizational levels information regarding treasury and/or financial topics and how to approach industry developments and changes
Manages complex processes involving economics, finance, markets, technology, data, and models
Derives actionable insights, develops recommendations, and executes next steps regarding financial and risk management interests facing Regions
Maintains knowledge of environmental conditions impacting strategy (e.g. market, regulatory, and technological changes) and assimilating the information into practical action and/or recommendations
Develops and assigns team members for specific projects and controls deployment of resources
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Provides guidance and training to teams and contributes to the development of technical knowledge and skills
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience, including supervisory/management experience
Or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field and six (6) years of relevant experience, including supervisory/management experience
Preferences
Experience with financial markets, modeling, forecasting, and analysis
Experience with one or more of the subject areas for which Treasury is responsible
Experience with technical software, data mining, management information systems (MIS), and/or cording languages (e.g. Bloomberg, Blackrock, Python, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), Structured Query Language (SQL), PowerBI, Qlik, etc.)
Skills and Competencies
Advanced ability to research, analyze data, and derive insights from a range of sources (e.g. markets, systems, research reports)
Ability to create and interpret relevant reports and present information to varying audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
The Senior Liquidity Manager is responsible for overseeing the bank’s liquidity risk framework, ensuring adequate funding, and optimizing cash and balance sheet resources in alignment with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives. This role requires deep expertise in liquidity risk, cash flow forecasting, and regulatory compliance, as well as strong leadership and analytical skills to guide decision-making at a large regional U.S. bank.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing liquidity in a complex banking environment, working with cross-functional teams, and engaging with regulators. They will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and reporting on liquidity risk while developing strategies to enhance funding efficiency and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Liquidity Risk Management & Monitoring:
Lead the bank’s liquidity risk management framework, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., Reg YY, FR 2052a reporting)
Monitor and manage the bank’s liquidity position, funding sources, and cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and strategic growth.
Maintain and update the bank’s liquidity policies and contingency funding plans
Identify and mitigate liquidity risks, proposing proactive solutions to senior management and risk committees.
Oversee the smooth functioning of daily and intraday liquidity reporting, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the bank’s liquidity position and risks.
Be the point person for orchestration of the Liquidity Risk Management Committee
Maintain familiarity with analytical and control systems uses by the bank for inputting or analyzing liquidity information
Balance Sheet & Funding Optimization:
Develop strategies for efficient funding management, including wholesale funding, and challenging corporate forecasts
Analyze and recommend optimization the mix of liquid assets and liabilities to balance cost, risk, and profitability.
Assist in collateral management, including pledging assets to depositors and secured funding channels such as FHLB advances, the Federal Reserve discount window, the Standing Repo Facility, and repo markets
Build, maintain, and report on balance sheet forecasts across multiple time horizons, ensuring alignment with liquidity planning and business strategy.
Maintain and enhance relationships with external clearing and funding counterparties, including the FHLB, Federal Reserve (Discount Window and Standing Repo Facility), and settlement banks.
Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, and Finance teams to enhance balance sheet efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
Help ensure adherence to all applicable liquidity regulations, including compliance with Regulation YY liquidity risk management requirements for large banking organizations.
Assist preparation and review of reports such as FR 2052a (6G), earnings releases and other external/internal information.
Interface with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to provide transparency into liquidity risk management practices.
Maintain policies and procedures aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
