Essential Duties/Responsibilities Demonstrates understanding and full performance ability in each of the following: Demonstrates a working knowledge of all tools of the trade for commercial painting. Exceptional ability to accomplish the full range of paining techniques and procedures for performing job duties and preventive maintenance on structures and equipment within the facility including application, removal, and replacement of interior wall covering, paint, etc. Ability to prepare surfaces of equipment, interior and exterior walls and railing by using sandpaper, scrapers, and sanding machines. Demonstrate ability to safely erect and use scaffolding. Proficient in painting window frames and makes minor repairs to windows. Performs preventative, diagnostic and corrective painting maintenance of facilities through a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) Cleaning equipment, storage rooms, and tool rooms. Demonstrates ability to work as a team and address issues and complaints as a part of the group decision-making process. Demonstrates an ability to effectively listen, speak, write, and interact in a tactful and professional manner. Demonstrates ability to work as a team and address issues and complaints as a part of the group decision-making process. Demonstrates an ability to meet deadlines. Must maintain a safe and organized workspace. Must ensure tools are maintained, clean, and organized. Assist with facility inspections and make recommendations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
