Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: $55,151
Principal responsibilities include the following:
Manage and oversee the processing and maintenance of all private miscellaneous scholarships, military and veteran tuition benefit requests and payments.
Supervise two staff members and coordinate backup duties.
Facilitate the invoicing and reconciliation of all institutional scholarships, while also serving as the liaison to various areas.
Maintain multiple third-party contracts, as well as coordinate the third-party billing process, including scheduling, distributing, and timely collection of monies due to the University.
Oversee and coordinate the journal processing and reconciliation of multiple student financial aid funds.
Oversee the Federal Nursing Loan program, coordinating the generation, processing, record management, and transmittal of all Federal Nursing Loan documents.
Execute the review and processing of all student credit balances and financial aid refunds in accordance with State and Federal regulations and Institutional policies and procedures.
Assist with the management of the Universities tuition payment plan and payment platform, performing daily reconciliation of payments and refund transactions processed via QuikPAY.
Assist with the management and maintenance of departmental e-commerce storefronts, providing support and training to departments.
Assist with the management of outstanding accounts receivable debt collections, acting as the liaison to our collection agencies and the NYS Attorney General's Office.
Provide assistance with meal plan charge assessment and adjustments, acting as the liaison to the Universities dining services.
Provide support and assistance with customer escalation.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a customer service-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Two or more years of customer service experience
Work experience in Higher Education
Experience with student information systems
Excellent professional written and oral communication skills
Preferred:
Supervisory experience in a customer service-based setting
Cashiering experience
Experience with data reconciliations
Experience with Banner
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
