Yellowstone County is seeking a Facilities Director for MetraPark. This position is responsible for the physical plant and upkeep, both on buildings, equipment, and the grounds themselves for the entire campus; Does related duties as required including parking and traffic management. Examples of Duties: - Plans, develops and implements a facilities master plan in conjunction with the General Manager and other divisions of MetraPark; - Plans and designs MetraPark facility expansions and/or changes; - Prepares, recommends, monitors and implements facilities budget; - Authorizes purchases and makes budget recommendations to the General Manager; - Plans and directs the activities of the custodial and maintenance staff; - Interviews, hires, trains, assigns, prioritizes, motivates, supervises and evaluates the work of assigned staff; - Hires temporary staff for fair and outside contractors, as needed; - Develops procedures for safety and preventative maintenance programs; - Reviews architectural plans and specifications and bid documents for construction projects and evaluates bids received; - Manages project program planning, contracting, and construction supervision; - Responsible for implementing and maintaining County provided software that allows for automated scheduling for regular and routine maintenance and repair events on campus, and maintains a ticketing system for scheduling and tracking completion of infrequent or unscheduled activities such as broken fencing, plumbing issues, etc. - Directs administrative services such as cleaning, maintenance, safety and snow removal; - Oversees the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems; - Implements procedural or other changes as necessary; - Directs and implements various programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidelines; - Works with County DES Department to develop, implement and maintain proper emergency planning and procedures; - Presides over monthly safety meetings at MetraPark; - Coordinates with Production Department staff for event specific safety and emergency protocols; - Ensures that training needs are identified and implemented; - Conducts special projects and writes reports as needed; - Attends meetings, conferences and workshops as requested and authorized; - Does related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Engineering or closely related degree; and - Two (2) years' experience in general arena/facility management, construction maintenance and repair including technical supervision; or - Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling six (6) years. Desired Qualifications: - Experience with HVAC systems, building management systems, OSHA regulations, plumbing and electrical systems preferred; - Experience in negotiating maintenance and construction contracts, interaction with management personnel of all levels desired; - The Certified Facilities Executive "CFE" designation from the International Association of Assembly Managers Association (IAAM) or the Certified Fair Executive "CFE" designation from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) is preferred; - Strong human relations skills. - Valid Driver's License issued by the State of Montana.
