  • Develops and administers social science curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.

  • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to provide customized, small and large group instruction.

  • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.

  • Build relationships with students to help encourage success, increase self-esteem and cultivate a sense of belonging in school and community.

  • Course load assigned by Department Head and could include Personal Finance, Critical Issues and U.S. History among others.

Certification/License:Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification. (200)Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education Education: Bachelor of Education- Social ScienceMasters Degree in related area preferred.Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required.Live and Work in the Biddeford, Maine Community
