Via of the Lehigh Valley, Inc. Job Coach - Part-Time - Community Employment Services in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Through paid training, we will prepare you to assist individuals with disabilities in Lehigh and Northampton counties achieve their career goals. Via is now offering an increased pay rate of $17-$18/hour determined by education level. Additionally, earn up to $1.75 more per hour by completing all three levels of the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Career Ladder Program.

 

As a Job Coach you will:

  • Identify and provide employment supports, training, and coaching, to create community employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
  • Provide on-on-one or small group coaching for students and adults at employment sites.
  • Complete job analysis as needed to develop and implement effective training plans for supported employees.
  • Continually assist in identifying and recommending changes in work methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assist individuals with transitioning into the workforce by providing career planning, coaching, and support.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate paperwork and entering daily activity records in the agency database.
  • Serves as an employer liaison, maintaining a positive and respectful work relationship with work site staff, supervisors and other program staff. Giving frequent and systematic feedback to host employer and supervisor regarding site progress.
  • Assist with covering shifts in other departments, if needed. 
  • Assist with transporting the individual to and from work site, if needed. 

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-year of experience working with individuals in community or employment settings is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to function in an ever-changing environment and a variety of settings.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle and appropriate vehicle insurance.
  • Traveling in the community is required.
  • Part-Time position between 20-25 hours per week. (Afternoon hours and weekends).
