Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes, while supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and code invoices, ensuring they are approved and entered into the ERP system in a timely manner.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders, resolving issues related to payments and invoices.
• Maintain and update the vendor payment history database to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Reconcile vendor accounts on a monthly basis and review statements to address discrepancies.
• Validate commission statements based on monthly sales data and ensure accuracy.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and assisting with inquiries.
• Perform daily transaction reviews, resolve discrepancies, and assist the Finance team with routine operations.
• Develop and improve departmental procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Prepare reports and assist leadership with financial analysis and reporting needs.
• Research and resolve errors identified in accounts payable processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in processing financial transactions.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and maintaining accurate accounting records.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Experience in auditing processes and supporting financial reviews.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to work.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
