PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering and Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site to support various R&D and engineering, and system evaluations for the Acoustics Signatures Technology Division of the Navy.
Responsible for operation and upkeep of the wind tunnel test facility
Responsible for test articles, components and data acquisition system
Ensure all lab equipment and instrumentation are properly calibrated
Coordinate machining and additive manufacturing of components
Collect and process the data as required
Provide various laboratory support as required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineer
2 - 3 years Engineering lab experience desired
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to operate light machineries and tools
Ability to assist in instrumentation and calibration
Familiarity with working laboratory policies/procedures
Strong proficiency in oral and written communication skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
