Front End Developer – Qlik Sense

Contract to Hire

100% Remote

Responsibilities:

DMI, LLC is seeking a Front End Developer Administrator. This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications using the business intelligence platform, QlikSense and participate in the planning and execution of upgrades and enhancements to tools, features and capabilities of the platform. This includes maximizing usability of the platform out-of-the-box features and functions, ensuring accessibility for all end users and proposing and applying continuous improvements to the end user experience. This also includes participating in projects associated with customer-specific requests deployed from the enterprise level platform. Candidates must be willing to work non-standard work hours in the event of production deployments, changes, and upgrades to minimize disruptions to the end user experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Solutions Development Tasks

• Function as a technical expert of QlikSense enterprise platform development and out-of-the-box functionality.

• Design and plan applications to meet enterprise level business objectives and customer-specific project objectives.

• Utilize programming languages to develop business intelligence solutions to support analysis, data transformations, reporting and dashboards for multiple state agencies and other stakeholders, including the public.

• Develop reports and dashboards as templates for immediate and future applications.

• Develop enterprise level application and integration solutions including major enhancements, functions and features.

• Automate enterprise level applications used by customers.

• Develop programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of current application development methodologies.

• Support application integration with enterprise databases and accompanying documentation across all inscope tasks.

• Create and maintain relevant documentation, including standard operating procedures and user manuals.

  Solutions Maintenance Tasks

• Troubleshoot deployed solutions, including responding to incident and problem tickets.

• Identify, and make accessible, resources (videos, manuals) to support operational needs.

• Support on-going development and maintenance of delivered data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.

• Continue to engage with customers regarding the state of delivered data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions, ensuring maintenance and optimal operational levels of delivered solutions are sustained.

• Identify opportunities for improved solutions and user experiences through adoption of new tools and functions.

• Develop innovative solutions for improved user data collection, analysis and/or reporting capabilities.

• Identify strategies for optimal enterprise level application of enhanced data tools, capabilities, and visualizations.

  Qualifications:

  Education and Years of Experience: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.

  Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  Additional Requirements:

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience building applications with Qlik Objects.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience with the Qlik Analytics Platform.

• Familiarity with the Qlik Hypercube objects and interacting with this using JavaScript.

• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and various JavaScript frameworks.

• Experience with Qlik APIs.

• Experience building Qlik mashups.

• Preferred experience with Qlik NPrinting and creating custom themes in Qlik.

• Proficiency in SQL Server, JQuery, HTML, and XML.

• Proficiency in Git, UI Design, ReACT or similar.

• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator.
