Philips Group leader embedded software - MRI in Best, Netherlands

As a Group Leader Embedded Software at Philips, you'll be at the forefront of innovation in healthcare technology. Leading a team of skilled embedded software engineers, you'll drive the development of software solutions for MRI scanners, ensuring product quality and advancing diagnostic capabilities. If you're passionate about making a meaningful impact in healthcare through cutting-edge technology, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to lead a team dedicated to improving patient care.

Your role:

  • As the Group Leader Embedded Software, you'll oversee a team of 20 highly motivated software engineers within the Research & Development department of MRI.

  • Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development of software for controlling MRI scanner hardware and diagnostic tooling, optimizing existing software solutions, and driving innovation in device control layer (DCL) software.

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, system integration, marketing, and product management will be essential to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and customer needs.

  • You'll create a supportive and dynamic team environment, providing guidance, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • Embracing best practices in software engineering and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), you'll foster a culture of innovation and excellence within your team.

You're the right fit if:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science or software engineering, with a strong technical background and a passion for healthcare technology.

  • Demonstrated experience in (embedded) software development, preferably within regulated industries such as healthcare.

  • At least 3 years of experience in people management and/or project management, with strong communication and performance management skills.

  • Your influencing skills enable you to drive collaboration across diverse teams in multinational and multicultural settings.
