What you'll do:

Summary:

Our teams mission is to deliver a consistent and intuitive user experience for SAPs industry-leading database, SAP HANA Cloud. With our diverse team of technical writers and user experience (UX) designers we develop clear, comprehensive guides, knowledge materials and user-centric designs. By continuously working on user assistance innovation, we stretch the boundaries of product documentation with in-app help, co-creation processes and AI.

The Role:

As a (senior) technical writer (f/m/d) on our team, you will:

  • Be responsible for the creation of help content in close collaboration with developers, UX designers, product managers and other stakeholders

  • Collaboratively define and review UI texts

  • Research and define terminology

  • Be the users advocate as an early tester of new technology

  • Ensure linguistic correctness, technical accuracy, and usability of the content, adhering to standards and guidelines and production processes

  • Participate in cross-department initiatives to improve quality, tools, processes and collaboration

  • Leverage usage data and insights to guide decision-making

  • Play an active role in investigating AI use cases and shaping the role of AI in user assistance

What you bring:

  • University degree in technical writing, IT, communications, user experience design, new media, or a related subject

  • Fluent in English, German intermediate preferred

  • Several years (5 ) of experience authoring technical documentation or enablement content for software solutions

  • Practical experience working in content management systems

  • Familiarity with databases or data management tools is a plus

  • Proven ability to manage various deliverables in parallel with multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines

  • Enjoy contact with people and passing on your knowledge to others

  • Dependable, helpful, and you value knowledge sharing with colleagues
