Actalent Inside Sales Account Manager in Berlin, Connecticut

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for general and specific tasks related to the effective execution and support of the end-to-end sales cycle processes through account management and data analyzation. This position requires the following functions in order to meet customers’ needs: sales, expediting, quoting, sourcing, purchasing and quality assurance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with Outside Sales to ensure account retention through seamless customer support, resource orchestration, and order fulfillment troubleshooting

  • Enables sales productivity and available selling time to increase orders and customer satisfaction

  • Proactively drives account management while executing tasks to support the sales process and move an opportunity forward

  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of product knowledge to position and map offerings to align with the customer’s business objectives and initiatives

  • Data entry, quote support, record management, researching activities, logistics (communication with warehouse), shipment scheduling, etc. via defined processes

  • Demonstrates customer-oriented responsiveness in answering inquiries and troubleshooting process issues that jeopardize order fulfillment

  • Maintains and builds customer relationships to become a trusted consultative advisor

  • Provides a full representation of the product offerings

  • Interfaces with key stakeholders and customers to provide pre and post-sales support to resolve issues

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A business related associates degree with seven years of technical sales experience, or any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years of fastener, industrial or technical sales experience

Proven track record of sales achievement
