Location Description The Post Consumer Brands sales office in Bentonville is in the heart of the Natural State, Arkansas. Bentonville is also home to the Walmart home office, which this sales team primarily serves. In addition to managing the relationship with Post's largest customer, the small, dedicated team also participates in several charitable and volunteer events throughout the year. The team prides itself on winning together and working hard to meet goals, while celebrating wins. Responsibilities As the Sr. Director of Sales, Walmart you will manage a complex business to deliver topline sales and profit. You will lead a team for our grocery branded and private label business. You will also work to collaborate across a complex system navigating both internally and externally to deliver results. Reporting to the Vice President of Walmart Grocery the Sr. Director will manage a team in all aspects of everyday responsibilities of assigned businesses at Walmart and lead the development of business plans with Walmart to profitably grow our mutual businesses. This is a highly visible role that will provide opportunities to make an impact and significantly contribute to Post Consumer Brands success. Conduct innovation and strategic planning sessions and provide thought leadership in how to mutually grow the business while challenging both internally and externally. You will build and execute the annual plans for the largest business within Post Consumer Brands that will meet or exceed sales targets and effectively manage allocated budgets. You will lead the execution of these plans with your team across multiple buying desks across Walmart. You will work to lead the development and implementation of merchandising and pricing that will maximize profitable growth and aligns to Post Consumer Brands and Walmart’s strategies. Lead the development and execution of Top-to-Top meetings with Post Consumer Brands and Walmart leadership. Maintain coordination with internal Post Consumer Brands departments for alignment on plans and ensure all programs, sales initiatives, issues, and questions are resolved in a timely manner. Evaluate and adjust sales plans to ensure implementation and target achievement. Proactively work on plan adjustments as needed to reverse negative trends and/or to further increase trends. Lead and drive accurate forecasting and consistent communication on plans with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams. Lead efforts in providing vision and customer direction to Category Manager in development and delivery of category analysis and presentations to deliver against company and customer strategies. Ability to develop, analyze and bring forward proactive solutions to complex business problems and opportunities, using data and analytics. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background of team management, category and analytical expertise, and experience in operating in a complex cross functional environment. The candidate will also have worked in other classes of trade, strong analytical experiences and experiences working closely with cross functional functions such as, but not limited to Demand Planning, Finance, Revenue Management, Shopper Marketing, E-comm, and Trade Management. Education: Bachelor’s degree with MBA preferred. Experience: 5+ years at the Director Level in CPG with proven success Expansive customer background with experience in the industry with Walmart, Mass, Club & Grocery Previous positions and experience in trade management, category management, retail management and customer marketing are desirable. Requires demonstrated skills in leadership and selling skills, data and insights, strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills. Must be effective at problem-solving, strong analytical skills, proactive solution finding, and bringing resolution to problems while leading others in these areas. Excellent working knowledge of Syndicated data and Walmart data systems Financial acumen, skilled and able to lead others in financial analysis and modeling scenarios and implications to overall business and profit. Proven track record of expert negotiation skills, with strong multi-level negotiation experiences Travel: 20 - 30%
