Job Title: Craft Superintendent-- Bennettsville, SC

Job Summary:

It is the responsibility of the Electrical superintendent to plan and coordinate the efforts of those under his/her supervision and motivate them to accomplish the work safely, correctly and efficiently. Work with or supervise other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all PPM electricians and the electrical planner, coordinate with other trades, and ensure compliance withsafety regulations.

  • Oversee and direct the work of PPM electrical crews, subcontractors, and other tradespeople.

  • Will plan, inspect, verify and document scope of work.

  • Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.

  • Be able to perform all of the essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision.

  • Create and manage daily/weekly schedules, timecards, budgets, and execution plans.

  • Perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of that work assigned.

  • Train/teach safety practices, policies and procedures related to an employee's assigned tasks. Gain a complete understanding of the scope of work and its related parts.

  • This individual will be required to attend meetings with site engineers, area managers, as well as the contract coordinator, to discuss project layouts and give detailed reports on progress.

  • Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens).

  • Understand and implement lockout/tagout procedures in a safe manner.

Skills & Experience:

  • Five years in craft supervision.

  • Strong computer skills and verbal skills are a must requiring proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP, etc.

  • Must be skilled in problem solving to provide adequate support to the electrical team.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign

  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above

  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas

  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age

  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders

  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises

  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces

  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
