Google Technical Program Manager, Silicon Development in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software or hardware development/integration and technical program management.

  • 8 years of experience in product engineering, leading mobile and compute chip development, first silicon bring-up and high volume production enablement.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience with chips and embedded systems used in mobile devices.

  • Experience in product development, program management, project management, professional services or engineering management.

  • Experience working in the consumer electronics industry, executing technical programs with external partnerships.

  • Experience in a high-tech industry.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will support the development and execution of complex, multidisciplinary SoC projects. You will help plan programs and manage their execution from early concepts through to production. You will collaborate closely with architecture, design, verification, physical implementation, and manufacturing teams throughout the SoC life cycle.

  • Manage communication of progress/status with stakeholders and leadership in various locations and time zones, own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams.

  • Assess complexities and scope out the project through design, development, test, implementation, deployment, and sustaining activities.

  • Manage risks and evaluate mitigation, and paths to success as needed.

  • Support the team in promoting clear communication, making decisions and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Implement process improvements to streamline product development.
