AT&T Tech Specialist, Information Security in Bengaluru, India
Provide production support to accept, integrate, operate, and maintain security elements (e.g. firewalls, access lists, routers, switches, IPS, scanners) on large data networks. Perform connectivity provisioning, troubleshooting, policy audits and preventive maintenance on network security elements. Manage authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) group and user profile management. Conduct regular reviews of log files, platforms, and services. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly proactive maintenance activities per SecOps management directives. Ensure all security requirements are met according to AT&T security standards and Internal Audit requirements. Conduct network risk assessment on all work performed. Ensure that project deliverables and expectations meeting milestones, timeliness, and high-quality standards. Work with others to facilitate development, testing and deployment of security systems and upgrades to existing systems.
Required Skills: Minimum 3 years of supporting heterogeneous networking environment. Must have willingness and mental toughness to work in an on-demand, high pressure, and mistake-free environment. Strong knowledge of network security and life cycle management related to security operations and systems administration. Good understanding of security from OSI Layer One to Layer Seven. Must have strong technical, organizational, project management, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must have hands on experience with at least one of the following platform: Palo Alto Network, Juniper SRX, F5 AFM, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point, Tipping Point, JSA, Cisco/Juniper (IOS/Juno) switches and routers.
In this role, you'll deploy system controls by developing framework for controls and levels of access, recommending improvements. You'll also: - Work with internal and external audit teams to provide frontline support of quarterly penetration tests - Maintain the 24/7 operation of the security tooling including, but not limited to, vulnerability scanners, code quality tooling etc. - Monitor and report on implementation and compliance of policy, process, and procedures refining as required and escalating non-compliance issues as needed - Identify risks and develop and propose strategies to mitigate them before crisis develops - Demonstrate personal integrity and responsibility - Other duties as assigned'- Experience with various regulatory requirements such as SOX, PCI - At least 3 years progressively more responsible experience in the IT field - Two or more years of hands on Unix/Linux system administration - Solid knowledge of IDS/IPS and vulnerability management solutions - Knowledge of current security threats and vulnerabilities - Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access control methods - Knowledge of SANS or COBIT frameworks - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Good organizational skills - High professional standards and desire to continue to develop skills and growth professionally -Strong commitment and drive to deliver high quality service to all customers, regardless of whether they are internal or external -Demonstrated ability to rapidly respond to changing needs of the businessBachelor Degree in Business/CS/MIS or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in application security
