Job Description Summary

As part of the product development team, you will contribute to the mission of the software function by leading teams on delivery of quality products, innovation, product functioning and development of team capabilities.

In this role you will be a leader and key contributor to application development discipline, with full stack development responsibilities. You will work mostly independently, owning the development responsibilities of various features of the product. You will collaborate with various other key contributing disciplines, namely, User Experience Design, Cloud Infra Engineering, Quality Assurance, Principal Architect, Program Management etc.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Understand the vision to design and integrate quality within Software Development Life Cycle, following SAFe / Agile methodologies.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, namely the Product Manager, UX Designer, Usability Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to derive the scope of UI development activities.

  • Estimate effort, support the Product Management and Program Management with task prioritization.

  • Ensure code quality through best practices including unit testing, code quality automation and other relevant process following the Quality Management System of the Organization.

  • Actively contribute in making relevant UML diagrams to describe the modules and components of the system and their interaction/dependency.

  • Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices.

Desired Technical skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

  • Strong hands-on industry experience of 10 yrs. in overall Software Development functions, with full stack development responsibilities in Cloud-native Multi-tenant Web Application Development context.

  • Proven expertise with Service Mesh technologies, using Istio.

  • Expertise in building decentralized data architecture, preferably with Data Mesh Architecture and Data Products.

  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and coding principles.

  • Proven experience of working in Test Driven Development context, Unit Testing experience is a must-have skill.

  • Proven expertise in Microservices architecture with hands-on implementation knowledge using languages Go, Spring Boot, Python, ASP.NET WebAPI etc.

  • Experience of working at containerized deployment context, using Kubernetes.

  • Expertise in building decentralized data architecture, preferably with Data Mesh Architecture and Data Products.

  • Experience with Browser based application development and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) using HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, TypeScript etc.

  • Application development expertise with Angular, with deep-delved knowledge of the framework and its various features.

  • Thorough understanding of browser internals, DOMs etc.

  • Experience of working with AWS

Preferred professional training and certification

  • Certification in Cloud Technology – AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate.

  • CKA / CKAD

Desired leadership characteristics:

  • Demonstrated experience with global product releases, working through the entire product development lifecycle, including software development lifecycle.

  • Clear communicator with strong written and oral communication skills especially in a global context.

  • Self-starter, analytical & problem solver, results oriented and ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to mentor/ coach future technical leaders and professionals.
