Job Description:
The Telemetry TRC provisions and maintains the remote access capability (Comm. links) to Transport network elements and their associated management systems. This is for the purpose of remote provisioning, monitoring, and testing of wireline and wireless services across the 21 TELCO States, Legacy "T" domestic and select MoW Regions. The Telemetry TRC owns and manages the methods and procedures for provisioning and maintaining alarm management networks.
Provide reports using data from various sources utilized in a Transport NRC Center. Analyzes data and makes recommendations for process improvement.
Develop guidelines, job aids, procedures and training material to aid in the expedient resolution of network outages/simplex.
Utilize advanced/expert knowledge and experience in Transport systems in a maintenance environment including ‘end to end’ transport path, DCS, SLC/DLC, SONET rings, MUX, (SONET and Async) and DWDM; Knowledge of Operational Support Systems.
