Job Description

The Database Manageability group of Enterprise Manager Cloud focuses on developing products that help with management and monitoring of large Oracle Database farms.

We build products that help ensure disaster recovery, high availability and data movement including procedures to move the on-premise database estate to Oracle Cloud and several others. We are looking for a proven software developer to bring our services to Database users. Here are some interesting features we have built:

We would like the software developer to have worked on JavaScript/Java/J2EE/SQL for at least 3 years and developed solutions that they are proud about.

Responsibilities Develop new user-facing features Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability Integrate user-facing elements with server side API Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, RequireJS, RouterJS Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment Design integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system Data migration, transformation, and scripting Strong understanding of Core Java, Restful API design and micro-service architecture Understanding SQL and extracting large datasets Creating database schema that represent and support distributed micro-services Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT [Right click to shift]

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
