Job Description Summary

As a full stack developer in Imaging Platform team, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining next generation platform solutions for GE Healthcare Products. This platform includes Kubernetes as microservice orchestrator with different platform services for messaging, database, caching, DICOM, Camera, etc. Requires 6-10 years of hands-on development experience in microservice development using GO or Java, containerization using Kubernetes / Docker on Linux Env, deployment and packaging using helm, Python and Ansible. Experience of leading technical discussions, propose design solutions, technically mentoring team members, manage external stakeholders and bringing innovation at work.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with software developers and imaging teams to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.

• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision.

• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.

• Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans.

• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.

• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities.

• Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products.

• Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results.

• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain.

• Apply Agile principles of SDLC and methodologies, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques.

• Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7.

• Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

• Build Healthcare Imaging platform capabilities and healthcare solution for Infra & PaaS Layers using Dockers, and Containerization.

• Actively participate in grooming , PI planning, sprint reviews and demos.

• Document component design, come up with design recommendations and drive internal technical design reviews.

• Perform Technical feasibility assessment and share outcomes that help conclude technology decisions.

• Understand performance parameters, assess application performance and address security issues.

• Ensure unit test automation using BDD and consistent code quality by adhering to SONAR quality gates.

• Activity manage formal verification and release activities.

• Coordinate with internal team members and other imaging teams for platform integration and defect fixes.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Math or related field

• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of professional experience (include technical skill)

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 6 + years of professional experience (include technical skill)

• Infra and PaaS integration using Containerization technologies Kubernetes / Docker, Grafana, Prometheus

• HELM Charts, YAML, Ansible, Python, DevOps Pipeline Integration

• Design pattern and defining Component design / solutioning

• BDD based automated unit testing using Cucumber

• Rest based Microservices using GO, Python, Java.

Leadership Skills:

• Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members.

• Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct

• Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different, competing objectives
