Front End Engineer (React)

Scope/Job Objective
In this exciting role as a Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a highly-interactive, data visualization and monitoring solution for our Collision Avoidance System (CAS).
This is a rare opportunity to apply your experience, dedication and skills to a brand-new, cloud-first program that seeks to improve the safety and sustainability of our customers’ operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the front end development of the cloud-based data visualization platform
Developing new user features using React and Typescript
Build reusable components and libraries
Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
Write, audit, and maintain tests
Collaborate with the passionate team of developers, UX designers, and product managers
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
More than 10 years of practical experience developing high-quality web solutions, with at least two years with React.
Thorough understanding of React and associated toolkits/libraries (e.g. Redux).
Strong proficiency in Typescript.
Understanding of REST-style APIs and how these integrate into an application.
Experience with modern front-end build pipeline and tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies such as Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.
