Scope/Job Objective:-

Senior Software Engineers (.NET) will design and develop cloud and on-premises web applications for a variety of products and services.The role extends across multiple projects, including BAU maintenance (patch and releases).

Digital Mine Technology (DMT) is on a transformational journey to deliver value for our customers and stakeholders, on-time, on-budget, and on-quality. The DMT products requiring focus for this role relate to Collision Awareness (CAS). The CAS technology is mining domain specific, with a mixture of web, software, firmware, and hardware for use on mine sites.

In this role you will utilize domain experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can affect short-term and long-term business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

▪ Work with our product team and customers (internal and potentially external) to create use cases and derive and document requirements (product, test, install and support requirements).

▪ Work closely with the broader engineering team to create optimum solutions. ▪ Perform software system decomposition and design, defining interfaces and test cases.

▪ Design implement and test software/firmware ensuring scope, schedule, quality is achieved.

▪ Program in C#, SQL and scripting (e.g. PowerShell/bash).

▪ Lead API, web, and database development.

▪ Concurrently manage multiple priorities monitoring progress and quality and ensure schedule and budget are met.

▪ Provide timely communications on significant issues, risks, or developments. ▪ Participate in, or lead as appropriate, technical and program reviews, design, and code reviews.

▪ Provide mentoring for more junior engineers.

Qualifications and Skills

▪ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. ▪ At least 10 years of experience in software development using modern C# (.NET 6+), ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and cloud technologies.

▪ Strong expertise in developing applications using .NET C#, ASP.NET Core, HTML, CSS, and Typescript.

▪ Knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular or React is desirable but not essential.

▪ Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience in deploying cloud-based applications on platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.

▪ Experience in leading software development teams and providing technical guidance.

▪ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

▪ Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

▪ Familiarity with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

▪ Experience with source control tools such as Git.

▪ Understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.

▪ Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment.

▪ Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decisions. Leadership:

▪ Ability to takes ownership of tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members (including globally distributed virtual teams).

▪ Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale.

▪ Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances competing objectives.
