Minimum qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in product management.

• Experience with relational databases and building cloud database services.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience building SaaS database backup services and solutions.

• Experience managing business strategy and execution.

• Experience working with relational databases, with an understanding of underlying storage and backup capabilities.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and storage technologies.

• Ability to work with executives, product leaders, and executive engineering leaders across Google.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager (PM) in the Cloud SQL Platform, you will be responsible for driving strategy and execution of Cloud SQL Data Protection capabilities. You will drive the strategy to deliver a comprehensive enterprise backup solution and adjacent capabilities that provide data protection for Cloud SQL.

• Develop the product strategy to deliver a comprehensive enterprise backup solution that is differentiated in the market.

• Build a clear understanding of database backup technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to help shape the overall product strategy.

• Collaborate with Google Backup and the Storage team to develop joint product strategy and execution plan to deliver a centralized backup solution for Cloud SQL.

• Develop a strategy to reduce friction for SaaS backup products to integrate with Cloud SQL.

• Devise innovative product and pricing strategy to optimize backup cost.
