Wells Fargo Lead Software Engineer in Bengaluru, India

About this role:

It's an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargo's Secure Network Engineering Services organization. This Lead network automation engineer position will help drive ongoing automation transformation activities and reporting. In this role you will be a key contributor to ongoing software automation or application development efforts by working with various network partners to drive positive change using agile and process improvement methodologies. A high level of ownership and accountability will be critical in this role as will problem solving and creativity focused on continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of advanced scripting experience using Python, Ansible, YAML

  • 4+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API)

  • 4+ years of experience with Linux OS environment

  • 4+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GiT/GitHub, SVN(Subversion) etc

  • Excellent technical design documentation and verbal communication skills

  • Must be self-driven and able to work with little supervision and direction

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computers or Electronics with 10+ Years of Networking /Network Automation Experience

  • Act as senior member of the team and work closely with various LoB, stakeholders to understand requirements, define and develop appropriate solutions for Network Automation.

  • Primary area of contribution would be network development of workflow Automation of different network applications such as Compliance, Configuration mgmt. and Software code control in highly complex network environment.

  • Development of standards to govern the deployment of Network Automation solutions and services within core network based on best practices and model driven approach.

  • Good understanding of Networking protocols and Arista/Cisco latest product line - ISR, ASR, Nexus , Cisco ACI Fabric and Infrastructure Automation management using Ansible is highly desirable

  • Should be experienced in writing template – Jinja / YAML /Python along hands on experience in Orchestration platforms, Ansible configuration, Writing playbooks etc.

Job Expectations:

  • Requirements gathering, design, development, test, release for automation scripts/processes in Python/Ansible

  • Creating/modifying/automating the operational reports

  • Establishing system / data integrations to enhance existing or establish new processes

  • Utilizing Ansible orchestration and Python scripting to simplify high volume and/or high-risk tasks for business partners

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
