Wells Fargo Lead Data Engineer in Bengaluru, India

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology area

  • Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadership

  • Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of working experience in Data Ingestion, Data Curation, Data Extraction

  • 4+ years in development of data pipelines/ETL for data ingestion, data preparation, data integration, data aggregation, feature engineering, etc

  • Experience with Informatica, Talend or Ab Initio is required

  • Experience with UNIX & PL-SQL scripting is required

  • 5+ years of strong experience in relational DBMS platforms, (DB2 or Oracle)

  • 5+ years of strong experience in SQL and Data Analysis. Data Modelling and strong query optimization skills.

  • Strong understanding of unit testing, integration, functional and load testing.

  • Ability to conduct code reviews with a focus on testability and code coverage.

  • Should have experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban.

  • 4+ years of strong experience with Hadoop

  • 2+ years of strong experience with Hive

  • 4+ years of strong experience with Python

  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes

  • 1+ years of experience with Docker

  • 1+ years of experience with Google Big Query

  • 3+ years of experience with Autosys

  • 2 years presenting to technical and executive audiences

  • Good knowledge of non-relational DBMS platforms, (MongoDB or Neo4j)

  • Good knowledge of real-time data streaming via Kafka

  • Good knowledge of Cloud ecosystems such as Google Cloud Platform

  • GCP Associate Cloud Engineer Certified is a plus
