Oracle Applications Engineer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure. As a member of the IT organization, assist with the design, development, modifications, debugging, and evaluation of programs for use in internal systems within a specific function area. Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.

Career Level - IC2

Responsibilities

As a part of a global team of developers, administrators and architects, develop analytic and automation solutions using diverse languages, tools and technologies.

Experience: 3-5 years

Education Qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science from a reputed University.

Required Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python / Perl / Shell (any two - absolute must)

  • Experience with SQL/PL-SQL – running basic queries, joins etc. developing stored procedures, triggers (absolute must)

  • Experience REST API integration. Should have written web service clients

  • Knowledge of Oracle Database and Weblogic. Should have understanding of product components and their interactions.

  • Experience with Agile Scrum

  • Demonstrated capability to switch between diverse technology platforms. Willingness to pick up new technologies as needed

  • Hands-on experience deploying reporting applications on one of the leading IaaS/PaaS cloud services like OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure

Nice to have:

  • Basic Java or Golang knowledge. Should be able to read and understand Java code and make minor bug fixes/enhancements.

  • Experience with Oracle Applications Express (APEX) development

  • Experience with setting up monitoring tools like Prometheus and reporting tools like Grafana
