Cybersecurity Threat Response Remediation Team is responsible for analyzing, prioritizing, and driving remediation on tactical and strategic risks identified during event investigation and containment. This role involves working closely with various teams to ensure that identified risks are addressed promptly and effectively. The engineer will intake findings prioritized by risk from cybersecurity controls validation and threat intelligence workstreams, scope and resource findings into quick wins or projects, track execution, and collect evidence of completion. What You'll Do As a member of this team, you will collaborate with cybersecurity professionals and internal partners to understand their business operations, identify how they should function, and implement changes that enhance T-Mobile's security with minimal business disruption. Key Responsibilities Cybersecurity intrusion analysis concepts and techniques Understanding of security incident investigation and log analysis Technical skills development Investigating security incidents, threats and vulnerabilities What It Takes Shown knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, topology, OSI model and network forensics). Operating systems (Windows/MacOS/Linux) Web technologies (web applications, database security, web servers) Knowledge of Scripting tools (Python/Perl/Shell/HTML/PHP) Ability to read and understand system data, including, but not limited to, security event logs, system logs, and firewall logs Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position.
