About a role ZScaler is expanding the business into the US federal space and regulated industries. We are looking for a seasoned software developer with a strong platform engineering background. In this role you will architect and build a CI/CD system that delivers all Zscaler services to be deployed and operated by a 3rd party. You will partner with engineering and ops organizations across all products to onboard them and standardize CI/CD technology for infrastructure and software services. You will design and deliver cloud build-out automation for Zscaler to run unattended. You will partner closely with compliance and security organizations to develop automation of checks across the pipelines - from source control submission to final artifact production, that ensures Zscaler binaries meet stringent requirements. Job Description Develop and operate a shared infrastructure automation that delivers artifacts into US federal, regulated and sovereign cloud environments Elevate security posture of CI and CD systems, harden change management and flight control process through automation. Define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices and procedures across engineering organization Ensure compliance with federal guidelines and regulations from feature design to delivery Automate build-out of new Zscaler clouds from infrastructure to services Measure engineering and ops productivity and drive improvement Design and build delivery mechanism for operational collateral (alerts, runbooks, etc.) to the federal environment for hands-off operation by 3rd party. Participate in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform. Basic Qualifications US citizenship Bachelor of Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent 5+ years of commercial services development experience 5+ years of public cloud experience (either of AWS, Azure) Infrastructure as Code (ie Terraform, Ansible, etc.) Virtualization (VMWave, Hyper-V, etc.) and container based orchestration (Kubernetes) Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems Preferred Qualifications Experience working within High/Moderate FedRamp authorization levels, IL5/IL6 is a plus Experience with the monthly continuous monitoring program of scanning, evaluating, patching and reporting on environment vulnerabilities. Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS and Azure) Experience with relational and non-relational databases as backend stores for microservices.
