Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Fleet Maintenance, Global Fleet Product in Bellevue, Washington

Global Fleet and Products (GFP) team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers through our last mile operations within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). GFP manages a global fleet of last mile vehicles including internal combustion engine vehicles, regulated vehicles and electric vehicles. Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, cross-functional and technology projects and programs across multiple verticals. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive project management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion. This role supports vehicle preventative maintenance in current state and will develop the vision and execution plan to leverage vehicle telemetry data to optimize the maintenance strategy with new technology capability. The end goal is to maximize vehicle fleet health while leveraging automation tools that simply the service experience for Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) and operationalize throughout the network. This will allow DSPs to focus on what they do best – delivering to our customers.

This role requires internal cross-functional program development as well as working with strategic vendors in the field to execute program changes and strategy. Key leadership principles include deep dive, bias for action, earns trust, and delivers results. In addition, this role will leverage think big to develop new long term strategies leveraging technology to change the way last mile approaches preventative maintenance.

Travel up to 15%.

Key job responsibilities

• Standardize requirements, inputs and outputs across internal and external vendor systems to ensure the same foundational data and decision making for the last mile fleet of vehicles both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles.

• Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.

• Identify new opportunities and strategies to transform Amazon's approach to preventative maintenance; explore internally telemetry signals available today, opportunities to improve device uptime, and or to bundle services. Develop schedules, cost savings, test programs and drive think big alignment across cross-functional teams and drive alignment with executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
