Amazon Software Development Engineer, Alexa Mobile Data Foundation & Services in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Come work in a great organization on a product you (and millions of other people) use every day. The Alexa Mobile App is the number one endpoint for accessing Alexa functionality, controlling devices, managing entertainment, and enhancing productivity. It plays a crucial role in controlling and setting up 1P, 2P, and 3P devices for millions of customers each year.

The Data Foundation & Services team is Alexa Mobile’s Data and Analytics team, responsible for building the technology infrastructure to manage billions of incoming events. Our data platform processes over 100 billion events and petabytes of data per day, providing key operational and business data. This data is leveraged by our Business Intelligence team, product managers, finance, engineering, and partner teams to understand our customers, products, and operations. Our infrastructure is entirely NAWS-based and designed to scale without failure, ensuring the right data is delivered to the right place. We have developed tools that utilize advanced machine learning techniques for data insights, anomaly detection, and predicting customer behavior. Are you interested in building and improving the largest near real-time data infrastructures in Alexa Mobile? Do you want to help shape customer and product innovation driven by deep data insights that influence the next phase of growth in Alexa Mobile?

Come join a team with a great culture. Work hard, have a lot of fun, and make a difference. We are a cohesive set of SDEs, QAEs, TPMs, and SDMs who are solely focused on our mission while not losing sight of the fact that we need to enjoy being here and the people we work with. Our organization has worked hard to build the right work/life balance by limiting when meetings can be scheduled, blocking off time for lunch, and ensuring that no one is being overworked. Learning, delivering, and making an impact in the way our organization evolves is our biggest desire. We explore new and interesting technologies to solve our business problems, and we keep our focus on the long-term impact on our changes.
