Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Global Service Compliance – External Affairs team manages service compliance programs in support of the expansion and ongoing offering of Kuiper communications services and products. The Obligations Delivery Lead for Reporting will support production and delivery of external facing regulatory deliverables including complex revenue and subscribership reporting, network availability reporting, and other obligation deliverables to be submitted directly to regulators. You will obsess over internal and external customers to ensure accurate and complete (i.e., on time, in the right currency, via the right payment methods) obligation delivery, and documentation, every time, in every country.
This leader will use deep compliance subject matter expertise to drive cross-organization alignment on optimized legal, financial, and product reporting structures, with a goal to maintain compliance and minimize financial and regulatory impact to Kuiper businesses. This leader will be responsible for implementing Go-To-Market compliance strategies that align to and enable business launch timelines across the globe.

Key job responsibilities
Key Functions:
• Use deep subject matter expertise and experience in highly regulated domains to translate complex compliance obligations into business, technical, and operational requirements and mechanisms for delivery.
• Develop and implement compliance Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies in alignment with business goals. Deliverables and goals focus on enabling licensing, launch timelines, and product expansion across global entities.
• Responsible for producing all service compliance obligation deliverables required to meet compliance obligations for Kuiper as a communications service provider enabling current and future business product offerings and customer strategies.
• Ensure an “audit-ready” mentality for all processes and procedures in preparation for any review that may be requested by regulators.
About the team
• Develop and optimize mechanisms to manage scheduling and capacity across your team and related support functions. Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of complex reporting and financial calculations using large data sets from a variety of data sources.
• Align directly with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Tax (FLAT) on reporting matters including detailed line-item mapping to General Ledger (GL)/Sub-GL data.
• Implement and improve operational processes to ensure timely and accurate payments supporting various payment types, bank accounts, legal entity structures and approvals.
• Coordinate across Kuiper entities, and across Amazon addressing the unique nature of Kuiper operating as a global Communications Service Provider.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience working with regulatory assessments, financial reporting, or audit experience, responsible for complex compliance requirements.
Experience supporting go to market strategies, international expansions, or new product compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Telecommunications/Satellite industry compliance experience
Experience translating complex compliance requirements into operational processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
