The Business Associate is an intermediate level position within the controls and reporting team supporting the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) business execution function. The role requires a professional who applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. The Business Associate may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end non-employee tenure/renewal process to include liaising with senior leaders, HR, legal and country heads as required.
Interface with centralized staffing office on contractor hiring requirements and partner with business managers to forecast monthly headcount
Support resource location strategy and assist with future headcount planning, including flagging relocations and exit plans to Business Execution Leads in advance of non-employee renewal process.
Act as key point of contact for external vendors regarding invoice queries and adopt intermediary role facilitating accurate and efficient payment process.
Provide training on non-employee tenure/renewal process and utilising Workforce Management tool (WMC) as required.
Consolidate weekly Resource Justification submission requests for ‘time and materials’ resources globally, obtain approvals and action invoicing process.
Expand current processes and responsibilities across EDO organisation, including onboarding of data in WMC, staff training, support, and troubleshooting.
Support management by providing ad hoc analysis on an as needed basis.
Apply judgment when reviewing and interpreting data, preparing reports, and sharing findings to management, while supporting a variety of tasks related to business office governance.
Minimize risk to business partners through a solid understanding of procedural requirements and control policies.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge/Experience
Relevant experience in a similar role.
Advanced Excel expertise including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
Experience working with large data sets.
Experience with databases and information management.
Experience of producing high quality and accurate reports for senior audiences in demanding timeframes.
Experience of learning new work/activities quickly and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Interest and experience in the financial services industry, particularly in the areas of technology and data mining.
Skills

Outstanding analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
