Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by managing procurement activities effectively. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting our purchasing team in expediting and order follow-up, entry-level buying activities, and other general tasks as needed. This role requires collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to maintain seamless operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Provide purchase order expediting and delivery control support to buyers in the team, contacting suppliers directly to ensure on-time deliveries.
Place and monitor purchase orders from the initial order entry through receipt and invoice processing under the supervision of buyers and team leader.
Support optimization of inventory levels by placing purchase orders at proper time and coordinating on-time deliveries.
Maintain supplier information in the Supplier Relationship Management system, including supporting buyers in the onboarding of new suppliers.
Resolve invoicing discrepancies by working with suppliers and the company's accounts payable team.
Run reports from the business system to provide data to facilitate buyer tasks and decision making.
Perform administrative tasks for the team, including a small volume of scanning and back-up phone coverage for the location receptionist.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in business or a field related to supply chain, or relevant work experience in procurement, supply management, or customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for management of full business processes ranging from planning and purchasing to sales and customer service.
Ability to work independently.
Capability to resolve roadblocks and capacity to provide results when working under pressure.
Knowledge and experience in the pulp and paper industry is an asset.
Willingness to rotate in other roles internally as your professional career unfolds.
Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience with ERP systems (we use LN but open to any ERP system experience) is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
