Description
Robert half is looking for a dedicated Grant Accountant to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis in Beaverton, Oregon. In this role, you will oversee grant-related financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate allocation of resources. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in grant accounting, financial reporting, and policy development.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200 regulations.
• Oversee and finalize financial allocations to ensure accurate grant spending.
• Audit credit card transactions to confirm adherence to spending criteria.
• Track and allocate expenses to appropriate grants.
• Develop Excel-based tools to monitor spending categories and remaining funds for each grant.
• Manage invoicing processes, including corrections and follow-ups as needed.
• Support HR-related tasks, including payroll allocation, benefits administration, and conducting exit interviews.
• Oversee the accounting inbox to handle queries and ensure smooth communication.
• Collaborate on the creation of a comprehensive policies and procedures manual.
Requirements • Proven experience in grant accounting and financial management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and budget processes.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of compliance standards, including Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200.
• Ability to develop and implement financial tracking tools.
• Experience with billing and invoicing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication abilities for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
