Job Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician / Electrician is responsible for preforming routine preventative maintenance as well as reactionary repairs on failed equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observes mechanical devices in operation to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to, remove, and replace defective parts.
- Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders.
- Repairs all production machinery and any related equipment.
- Assists supervisor with the maintenance of parts inventory, notifying supervisor of parts and machines needed. Lubricate and cleans parts.
- Recommends measures to improve equipment performance and safe work practices.
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
- Diagnose and repair electrical circuits and industrial electronic equipment
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with in a manufacturing setting
- Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance
Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Not afraid of heights
