We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Beaumont, TX.

As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing management systems to ensure that the site complies with state and local regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and procedures. This role aims to continuously improve our safety performance and our results on external audits by proactively reviewing our programs and ensuring consistent excellence in performance. Sustainable solutions will be identified in consultation with subject matter experts to ensure the health and safety of everyone at the Beaumont Site. Additionally, this role acts as the liaison between engineering, operations, EHS, and auditors to ensure that the team collaborates effectively and is uniformly represented to agencies and auditors.

As a Compliance Specialist, you create chemistry by...

  • Determining compliance requirements for Responsible Care (RC)/ Process Safety Management (PSM)/Risk Management Program (RMP) protocol questions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), documenting requirements and actions, and entering those actions into a centralized location.

  • Facilitating gap analyses/reviews with SMEs to determine compliance with the RC/PSM/RMP Audit Protocol, and developing plans to address identified gaps.

  • Identifying inefficiencies or areas of improvement for compliance-based activities, informing SMEs of necessary changes, and working with impacted parties to ensure consistent future compliance.

  • Developing tools and processes to aid in the visibility and tracking of compliance-related activities.

  • Acting as quality control for implemented changes, determining their effectiveness, and identifying what needs to be done to make them effective.

  • Tracking and reporting on compliance performance KPIs.

If you...

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills.

  • Exhibit attention to detail.

  • Have 2 years of relevant experience in auditing, compliance, or EHS preferred.

  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA, EPA, PSM, TCEQ, and other applicable codes, regulations, and standards preferred.

  • Have experience in chemical plant operations or EHS preferred.
