From natural, drug-free births and midwife-assisted labor to births requiring advanced care, the Potash Women & Newborn Center accommodates a variety of birth experiences. Joining our Birthing Center Team at UH Ahuja Medical Center comes with many benefits including a sign-on bonus of up to $8,000.00 for experienced nurses with more than 1 year of inpatient RN experience. A family-focused home for expectant mothers and newborns, the center includes: * Maternal-Fetal Medicine * Labor and Delivery * Postpartum Recovery * Level II Neonatal Care * Midwifery Services Essential Functions * Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. * Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. * Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. * Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. * Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. * All RNs are expected to be cross trained to all areas of the unit - Labor and Delivery, Level II NICU, Newborn Nursery, OR, and Postpartum Schedule: Full time: Day/Night rotation **There may also be potential for straight nights based on availability and discretion of the management team * Alternating weekend/holidays * Some call shifts will be required Equal Opportunity Employer -- minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
