Insight Global AV Service Technician - Texas in Baytown, Texas

Job Description

Digital Resources seeks to hire a highly motivated, full-time AV Service Technician to join our exceptional team. Digital Resources is an industry-leading AV, Broadcast systems company servicing Texas and the South-Central region. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills and abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

As an Audio-Visual Service Technician for the company, you will provide on-site or remote troubleshooting, repair, replacement, service, and/or maintenance of commercial AV systems. The company supports these efforts with our engineering, programming and integration team.

Responsibilities:

* Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to audio-visual equipment, such as, connectivity issues, audio problems, video problems, AV network issues and control system troubleshooting.

* Provide timely and effective technical support to meet the customers' expectations via telephone, remote log-in, and or in-person services.

* Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance accurately, allowing enough time for transit and testing as required.

* Develop and maintain good customer relationships.

* Elevate services to our engineering team for equipment needs, programming support, and software and hardware changes as required.

* Troubleshoot and resolve Network issues i.e. connectivity, applications, Internet, Web, WAN, and infrastructure.

* Perform emergency service at the client's locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of AV systems and related equipment.

* Provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions of services performed.

* Provide Remote and or, On Call technical support as required.

* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimum operation and a minimum of downtime of AV systems.

* Perform emergency service at the client's locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of AV system and media systems.

The experience and skills we value:

* High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical degrees is a plus.

* Excellent computer, networking and software skills.

* Proven experience as an audio-visual technician or in a similar role.

* Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, including equipment setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

* Familiarity with signal flow, cable management, and AV control protocols.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by client demands.

* A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Skills and Requirements

* Experience with professional audio and A/V technologies.

* Previous experience with troubleshooting AV equipment issues and utilizing software, and service manuals.

* Knowledge of audio signal processing and audio I/O implementation is a plus.

* Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.

* Negotiating skills in dealing with customers.

* Excellent work ethics.

* Excellent technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, follow up skills.

* Must be able to identify a problem and the ability to troubleshoot to a resolve.

* Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines and adjust to quickly changing requirements and environment. Occasional:

* Standing, Bending, Squatting, Pushing/Pulling

* Light Lifting (up to 25 lbs.), Moderate (25-50 lbs.) to Heavy (50 lbs.+)

* Reaching above shoulder level

* Work from ladders and lifts only as required.
