The Carpenter will build, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures as needed to assist with various types of construction projects. Duties/Responsibilities Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures. Observe and follow company safety policies. Attend all required company safety meetings. Recognize unsafe working conditions and bring it to the attention of the foreman or superintendent. Use all construction tools and equipment, as well as using all power and air tools efficiently, productively, accurately, and safely. Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and/or take instructions from supervisors to determine dimensions and materials required. Inspect work along the way to ensure it is up to code and specifications. Keep job site clean. Properly stack and protect materials from the elements. Perform proper care and basic maintenance of all on-site company tools and equipment. Work as a team member in accomplishing detailed daily and weekly goals.
