Job Summary
As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for driving the analysis and implementation of business requirements across enterprise systems, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead the analysis, documentation, and implementation of business requirements across our enterprise systems, including ServiceNow. This position will be full-time, long term W2 contract, and remote.
What You’ll Do
Work with ITSM stakeholders (business teams and IT) to gather, document, and analyze business requirements across enterprise systems, including ServiceNow but not limited to
Write effective user stories and related acceptance criteria
Perform detailed data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and insights that can be used to continuously improve processes and systems
Document and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, system functionality, and workflows
Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and implement technical solutions that meet complex business needs
Assist with system testing and ensure enhancements of systems and integrations run accurately and efficiently according to business requirements
Perform process analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis to clarify and address business needs and challenges
Document and maintain business system documentation and records
Contribute to the development and maintenance of process documentation and training materials
Serve as a liaison between the business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business needs and technical solutions
What You’ll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field – advanced degrees or certifications in business analysis are a plus
Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to think critically and solve complex problems
Proficiency in data analysis tools, process documentation, and project management software and methods
Experience working in Azure DevOps (ADO)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to lead and organize cross-functional teams
Team player, solid work ethic, flexible, able to change directions quickly
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred:
Experience with the ServiceNow platform, including configuration and administration
Experience working with regulatory compliance requirements (SOX and NERC CIP)
Understanding of ITSM applications and processes
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
