Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Create andmanage customer information in thecompany’s BusinessManagement System
Support customervisitsonsite andoffsite
Provideupdateson customerprojects;serve as liaison betweenoperations andcustomer for updates regarding deliveries, customer service issues,etc.
Responsible for executingtheproposalgeneration process withinthe BusinessManagementSystem
Reviseor create proposalsbased upon inspectionresultsorother in-processworkscope changes
Ensure all proposals are reviewed per Sulzer’s internal delegationof authority and create Margin Summary Reviewsheet
Manage the storage / archivingof the proposals andrelated information
The Terms and Conditions and handed to OM and/or ASM and/or RSM to complete the review process
Manage the receipt, review and processingof allpurchaseordersassociated with their assigned OM or ASM’s and business units
Manage the releaseof allproject scopes and projecthand-offstotheoperationsgroup(s)
Coordinate andmanage asneeded the resolutionofproject issues, questions, and concerns
Facilitate communicationsbetween the customer, ASM andoperations group
Perform invoice review andproforma approval
Participate in appropriate meetings such as production and scheduling meetings to facilitate decision-making on backlogs and priorities.
Reviewing and processing summary technical reports for accuracy on completed client projects.
Develop andmaintainskillsand procedures requiredfor the generationof the highestquality proposals
Supportoperations quality improvements
Takes personal responsibilityfor theirown, andco-worker’ssafety
Identifyproblems and areasofimprovement andnotifymanagementaccordingly
Ensure customervisitorshavereceived therequiredsafety induction, are properly signed in and have the requiredPPE whileon shopvisits
What you bring to Sulzer:
Previous experience and/or technical proficiency in the turbo machinery industry to include knowledge of steam and gas turbines, centrifugal, axial and process screw compressors, expanders, and other associated high-speed rotating equipment such as generators, pumps, gearboxes etc.
Expert level knowledge of business market in territory (Baton Rouge/Gonzalez, LA and statewide)
Experience in service and/or sales within the Chemical/Refinery/Power facilities in the listed territory, up and down the river corridor
15 or more years working in the industry
Good mechanical aptitude
Outgoing and personable with excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel daily within the listed territory and other areas as required, selling field service work.
Proficient use of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)
Strongorganizationalskills, abilityto prioritize andmanagemultiple projects
Understandingof basic financial concepts
Must live in the Baton Rouge/Gonzales, Louisiana geographical area.
