Pearson Director of Exam Operations in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The Director of Exam Operations will be responsible for leading the delivery of a complex exam development program, encompassing exam development, psychometrics, and exam publishing, while ensuring alignment with customer goals and driving innovation, as well as building effective working relationships with key customer stakeholders and across the organization.
The successful candidate will have an immediate impact on productivity by driving innovative methodologies and approaches and adapting quickly to new technology applications in both AI-driven and traditional content development environments. The ideal candidate will embody our values, be nimble, and demonstrate proven experience or capability in building strategic customer relationships with a special focus on the exam development and delivery lifecycle. The Director of Exam Operations will report to the Vice President, Global Testing Services.

Responsibilities
Drive program-specific planning, execution, process adherence, innovation and efficiencies through standardized business practices and documentation
Build effective working relationships with key customer stakeholders and across the organization to drive a collaborative solutions-driven environment while ensuring adherence to cross functional process standards
Coaching and mentoring team members and overseeing work quality, productivity, and staff professional development
Ensuring that items and exams are prepared on budget and schedule
Developing tactical and strategic resourcing plans
Reporting and monitoring exam development progress against project plans and schedules
Providing cost estimation and proposal support for customer initiatives
Identifying, managing, and escalating risks
Working with technology teams to identify and recommend system enhancements
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required, Master's Degree preferred
Minimum of five years of experience in a customer-facing role in the assessment industry
Minimum of five years of experience managing complex exam development projects
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
Ability to work remotely in a secure environment with a standard setup, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite and Pearson proprietary applications
Travel requirement up to 15%
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $150,000 - $160,000.
