PPG INDUSTRIES, INC. Sublimation Production Supervisor in Barberton, Ohio

PPG is seeking a *Sublimation Production Supervisor* to join our team in the PPG OLED manufacturing team, based in Barberton Ohio. As the Sublimation Production Supervisor you will manage the daily schedule and training of a team of operators that work in a clean room environment running purification processes for OLED materials. As well as managing operating supplies for the sublimation area. *Key Responsibilities*

  • Create the daily task schedule for a team of operators and ensuring all the required tasks are completed correctly and promptly
  • Train and certify all new operators for the area
  • Ensure operators are complying with document procedures for the area
  • Ensure operators maintain a clean work area
  • Ensure operators are adhering to all Safety requirements for the job including wearing the required PPE while in the work areas
  • Support the engineering team with implementing Design of Experiment (DOE) trial work for new products being developed
  • Work with maintenance tech to troubleshoot equipment issues to prevent downtime
  • Work with engineering team to troubleshoot process / product issues
  • In-depth understanding of purification equipment which includes the loading and unloading of products, equipment recipe selection, and monitoring of vacuum and temperature levels while the equipment is operating.
  • Visual inspection of ground materials for particulate or foreign particles
  • Record process data in Excel spreadsheets
  • Enter batch information into SAP, scheduling equipment, completing confirmations, goods issues, goods receipts and multiple material movements in SAP
  • Partner with planners to help schedule equipment.

*Work Environment:*

  • The required work schedule is Monday through Friday first shift operation (7:00 am - 4:00 pm)
  • This position will require some overtime to be worked, including occasional weekend work as necessary
  • Work will typically be a 50/50 split of computer work in an office and working in a cleanroom which will require head to toe cleanroom apparel to be worn

*Experience and Education*

  • 3 to 5 year of Prior production / manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a clean room environment is a plus
  • Past leadership experience of managing a team of 2-4 people preferred but not required
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
