Description
Manager I, Business Quality will be responsible for the strategy, quality and productivity of the Business Quality team and will own goals on process improvements, automation and operational excellence. The job involves ensuring operational rigor and designing high-impact business processes. He/she must be comfortable and confident liaising with different stakeholders and senior leaders. The role involves influencing peers and stakeholders in other functions to achieve the operational and business goals assigned.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work at all levels of detail to accomplish team/organization goals. He or she will identify the individual strengths of team members and contribute to talent advancement. The ideal candidate actively seeks to understand Amazon’s core business values and initiatives, and translates those into everyday practices.

About the team
Business Quality team strives to improve process quality by relentlessly pursuing opportunities across functions and has these focus areas: Defect Management, Root Cause Analysis, Insights and Analytics and Quality Improvement.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of program or project management experience
2+ years of team management experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, especially MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint at an advanced level
Experience leading process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, and ETL Manager and working with large data sets
Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts
Experience in managing critical operational processes, with SLA responsibility
