Job Title: GL Accountant

Summary:Responsible for General Ledger, including but not limited to, SAP General Ledger transactions, Support Balance sheet review, reporting, SAP, IFRS, reconciliations and compliance with internal and business controls.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manual Intercompany Invoicing, GR/IR, posting recurring entries, record accruals, journal entry preparation to comply with IFRS regulations.

• Intercompany process, GL clearing, Netting off.

• Review, Analyze Out of Balance (OOB) report, Debt Schedule report.

• Preparation and review of Blackline account reconciliations

• Preparation of VAT reports in compliance with European region

• Assist in the monthly consolidation and intercompany reconciliation process.

• Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations

• Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Identifying and resolving significant IFRS/US GAAP reporting challenges related to Fixed Assets

• Ensure compliance with SOX financial reporting requirements (including maintenance of polices and procedures)

• Provide supporting documents and explanations for all Stat and SOX audit as and when required

• Ensure all Finance process in compliance with Momentive’s Accounting Policies & Procedures and ensure accuracy of General Ledger

• Prepare Lease schedules and provide supporting documentation as required

• Identify process improvements to drive efficiencies

Preferred

• Experience in Integrity tool will be an added advantage

• Shared Service background, Proactive & problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet work and project deadlines producing high quality output

• Excellent MS Office Excel, Power BI, Tableau and PPT skills

• Key Metrics

• Ensuring Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly book close in compliance with Company policies, standards and maintain highest accuracy

• Legal Department

• Tax Team

• Treasury Team

• Internal & External Auditors

• IT Team (as appropriate)

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

· B.Com / M. Com with 7-10yrs of relevant experience

· Strong analytical skills

· Experience in SAP

· Excellent communication skills
