Description of the position:
The Operations/Supply Chain Management - Principal Specialist (now called “Specialist”) will perform various functions related to Operations (Production & Repairs) and Supply Chain for a relatively small business unit responsible for production and repair of data acquisition & transmission systems supporting Engine Health Management for aircraft gas turbine engines. The Specialist will interface with multiple Business Partners: North American Operations & Supply Chain Team, Quality and Engineering Teams located in Boston, MA, USA as well as Part Distribution Center and key suppliers (all USA based).

The Specialist is highly self-motivated and a fast learner individual with strong communication, cross-functional teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The Specialist needs to be able to work with minimum supervision as work will be done remotely from Operation site & Supply Chain. The Specialist needs to have Operations and Supply Chain experience as well as in depth experience and ease to work with electronic tools such as EXCEL, PowerBI, ERP systems (SAP), PLM systems, Electronic Obsolescence systems, PowerPoint, Word & TEAM as a significant portion of work will be to manipulate data to produce analysis, reports, dashboards and more.
What your day to day will look like:
Coordinate with Ops Team, Part Distributor and main supplier multiple reports to create Combined report in PowerBI dashboard – Weekly basis
Create Purchasing Orders (Product, Non-Product, Services) based on internal requests
Create obsolescence reports for electronic components & identify replacement equivalent
Update/Maintain ERP/PLM systems: Bill of Materials, Part #’s, etc
Create and monitor all Operations & Supply Chain KPIs for CORE Operating System, monthly OPRs (Operation Reviews), etc.
Perform audits of Bill of Materials / Drawings / Etc…
Support Quality audits (AS9100, AS13100, FAA, EASA, internal audits, etc…)
Support Operations & Supply Chain Team on new requests / projects
Core Working Hours: Monday to Friday with 3 hours overlap with North America (East coast)
Experience/Skills Qualifications:
Bachelor in Engineering or Administration
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain and/or Engineering, preferably in the Aviation and/or Electronic industry or Master (Advanced degree) & minimum or 3 years of experience
A combination of proficiency and ease to learn the following electronic tools: EXCEL, PowerBI, ERP systems (SAP), PLM systems, Electronic Obsolescence systems, PowerPoint, Word, TEAM, etc.
