CareFirst Senior ERP Business Analyst (Remote) in Baltimore, Maryland

PURPOSE:
CareFirst is in the process of consolidating its front-end customer facing systems and at the same time it has begun the process of assessing and updating its back-office HR, Finance, Procurement systems. To support these efforts CF is seeking a Senior ERP Business Analyst to join the Financial Systems team. This individual will have considerable experience with business systems functional support and analysis. He or she will possess working knowledge and comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and the capacity to read a Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow and interdependencies among these core financials.
The ideal candidate will have worked with and participated in the implementation and support of a major ERP Financials package such as Oracle Financials or HCM, Workday, SAP etc. He or she will have hands on experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the inherent change management processes. The senior analyst will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop business value cases, estimates and expected benefits and return on investment ROI.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works closely with IT to coordinate system change requests. Conducts user tests after implementation(s) to ensure performance; facilitates system audits. Appoints HR system roles and access points.
Provides help desk support across the organization, investigates and resolves operational issues applying knowledge of the ERP security, business processes, and procedures. Communicates with software vendors to submit production issues and determines escalation. Works with vendor to research and resolve the system or user issue.
Creates test case scenarios to be used in testing; monitors/oversees the testing of business applications to verify that all requirements are incorporated into the system design.
Plans and designs cross-functional business processes and system modifications. Makes recommendations to improve and support business activities. Create and maintain queries as requested to aid in compliance and data collection/review.
Gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques such as work sessions and interviews. Analyzes and documents client business requirements and processes; communicates these requirements to appropriate parties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 5 years Progressive experience in a ERP support role with implementation duties.
Licenses/Certifications
Certification in and/or knowledge of major business flows of an integrated ERP system Procure To Pay, Budget to Report, Acquire to Retire etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Proficiency in ERP system configurations, support and user training
Knowledge of ERP organizational principles and practices such as change management, production control, financial management and record retention policies. retention policies ).
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and presentations.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to remain in compliance with laws while managing confidential information.,
Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range: $77,184 - $153,296
