Johns Hopkins University Research Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, we are seeking a Research Assistant who will assist with activities of a research study at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Bigos Laboratory. Will provide support for the clinical trial Multimodal Brain Imaging of the Neural Effects of Methylphenidate in Patients with ADHD (NCT04781972), funded by the NIMH R01MH133453. The goal of this study is to develop brain imaging tools to measure the effects of methylphenidate in children and adolescents with ADHD. Specifically, we will correlate brain activity during cognitive tasks and brain chemistry with cognitive performance. These measures could then be used to develop novel drugs to treat ADHD in children and adolescents.
Specifics Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with the Research Assistant at Kennedy Krieger Institute to coordinate subjects for study visits.
Attend all the fMRI scanning sessions and help run the scanner and the presentation software to display the imaging tasks.
Conduct screening and neuropsychological testing of the subjects and perform blood draws.
Assist the postdoctoral fellow with neural and cognitive data analyses.
Help prepare manuscripts and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($45,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
